This policy explains what information this website collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It applies to browsing this site and to the inquiry form.

Who we are

We are Essential Ceremonies, the ceremony practice of Benjamin and Teri Martin, Certified Life-Cycle Celebrants serving the Colorado Front Range. When this policy says "we," it means Benjamin and Teri. You can reach us at (303) 819-3034 or through the inquiry form.

Information you give us

When you send an inquiry, the form asks for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• A phone number, if you choose to leave one
• The date of your event, if you already know it
• The location of the ceremony
• The type of ceremony you have in mind
• Your preferred celebrant: Benjamin, Teri, both, or no preference
• A short description of your ceremony, when you choose "Other"
• An optional message about the ceremony you are planning

You decide how much to share. The form works with no phone number, no date, and no location, and nothing beyond what you type is asked for.

What happens when you submit an inquiry

Three things happen, and nothing else:

• Your details are saved to this website's records so Benjamin and Teri can find your request again.
• An email containing your details goes to Benjamin and Teri. Your own email address is set as the reply-to address so their answer reaches you directly.
• Your name, email address, and phone number are added to our mailing list in MailerLite, in the group for website inquiries, so we can follow up and occasionally send news.

Your inquiry is not passed to advertisers, data brokers, or any list we do not operate. If a step fails, the inquiry is still saved, and we ask you to call if you do not hear from us.

Email updates

MailerLite is the service we use to send email. Every message we send includes a link that takes you off the list at once. You can also ask us to remove you by phone or through the inquiry form. Leaving the list does not stop us from answering an inquiry you have sent.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually read. It sets cookies in your browser and records the page you viewed, the time of your visit, your device, browser and operating system, the site that referred you, and your general area. We use those reports to decide what to add or fix. We do not combine them with your inquiry, we do not use them to identify you, and we run no advertising-network trackers. You can block or clear cookies in your browser and the site still works.

Accounts and site management

The blog and the site's records sit behind a private sign-in area. Only Benjamin, Teri, and the person who maintains this website for them hold accounts. Sign-in uses an email address and a password, and a password reset email can be requested for an account's address. Visitor inquiries are kept separate from those accounts.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
• We do not take payments on this website. Fees, deposits, and schedules are arranged directly between a family and the celebrants, never through this site.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children. The inquiry form is written for the adults planning a ceremony. If a child's name or details reach us inside an inquiry, we treat them as part of that family's record and remove them when asked.

Who helps us

A small number of services handle information on our behalf: the platform that hosts this website and its database, Google Analytics for page counting, and MailerLite for email. Each is used only for the job named above.

How long we keep your information

We keep an inquiry while we are in touch with you, and afterward as part of our records, so that your ceremony details can be found if you come back to us. If you ask us to delete your inquiry and take you off the mailing list, we do both, and keep only what the law or the host's ordinary server logs require.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion: call (303) 819-3034 or send a note through the inquiry form.
• Unsubscribe from any email with the link inside it.
• Simply do not submit the form. Reading this site asks nothing of you beyond the analytics described above.
• If you appear in a photograph on this site and would rather it not be shown, tell us and we will take it down.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and inquiry records are visible only to Benjamin, Teri, and the person who maintains the site for them. No storage method is perfect, so we keep only what we need.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date above.
